We experiment, fail, learn and repeat. With this vision and having our work integrated in the business, our technological and digital teams understand and anticipate the needs of millions of external and internal users.
Data, Systems and E-commerce teams bring their innovative, strategic and technical vision to all areas of the company, allowing us to achieve our goals.
A building at Inditex headquarters in Arteixo can be seen, as well as an interior shot of the headquarters. One of the Technology area employees is sitting in a room and says, ‘Actually, when I started studying, I didn’t think I was going to work in a fashion company. In fact, I didn't think fashion companies like Inditex could have such powerful technology behind them’. Next, the IT department appears— a room where employees work on individual computers in front of a large screen from which everything that happens in the company can be controlled, and a photography studio. In the same room, an employee speaks: ‘The website is a very powerful sales system’. The first employee goes on to say, ‘It has a lot of visibility because it’s present all over the world. Everything we do has a direct impact on what the customer sees, and how the brand is perceived around the world’. The IT department reappears, as well as a series of employees sitting around a circular table talking in a friendly way about reports, and then a screen with graphics and data, while a voice-over says, ‘The technical team is actively involved with the business side, something that is highly valued. We believe that the best way to do quality assurance is to understand what the business wants, and that happens when the business involves you from the start’. Another employee comments, ‘It's a company that gives you a lot of freedom to do your work’. We see two employees in front of a screen with graphics, while one says ‘This is a luxury, that in a company like this you can propose projects, carry them out and have an impact on billions of people a year. You know what you're doing has a purpose, and you're involved and going to see the impact it has on the customers, that's really cool’. We can see the screens of the photography studio and a new shot of the studio where we zoom in on an employee working in front of a computer with various photographs on the screen. She says, ‘I had the great opportunity to see how to create a project from scratch, from its conception, choosing all the systems, the architecture, and that, honestly, has taught me a lot’. While she's speaking, you can also see shots of Zara's website, Inditex's servers and the different colour cables that make everything work. Sitting at a table, people from various countries chat amicably and a new employee's voice-over says, ‘What we need are people, first with a lot of enthusiasm and then with talent to take on the challenges and complexity of this company’. One of the previous employees appears walking on an outside walkway with someone else, as he says, ‘I don’t think we're looking for people who have certain knowledge, but a set of skills’. Another employee is talking on the phone in front of a wall featuring the word ‘technology’. There are also several people working in front of a computer in a large room and an employee sitting in a room talking to the camera. Meanwhile, we can hear a voice over that says, ‘First, you have to like to develop, and you have to like what you do; I think the way to do things well is by being passionate’. We continue seeing two people working on a computer, and a man working with a big interactive whiteboard while other employees listen to his explanation. The employee sitting in the gallery comments, ‘If you want to develop as a professional surrounded by real professionals without going thousands of miles away, then I honestly can’t think of another place’. A shot of the exterior of the new Inditex building in Arteixo can be seen. It goes to white and ‘inditexcareers’ can be read on the screen.
Do you think there's always room for improvement?
So do we. Our employees’ innovation and creativity is what allows us to keep moving forward.
