Your Career
Several Inditex employees from different countries and positions describe their careers in the company. They all appear in a studio with a neutral background, speaking separately. James, product manager of zara.com, says, ‘Inditex is a place where you make the role that you want to make, essentially. And, somehow, you kind of build the way you want to work, and also the direction that you want to go towards with your job.” Ángel, a designer at Pull&Bear, says, ‘When I started in the store, it was a part time job, typical when you're studying. You don't really know what you want, but I liked fashion. I got a call from Pull&Bear and started there. It was part time, few hours; I got more and more used to it, and they gave me more responsibility’. Carla, textile graphic designer at Oysho, says, ‘When you arrive it's a bit overwhelming, in the sense that you've never done this before and all of a sudden you're responsible for a collection that's going to be in the store and sell in many countries. It scares you a bit, but on the other hand it's a pleasure; the fact that they trust you, and they think I can do it, and do it well, gives you the strength to tell yourself, “Ok, I can do this”’. Denis, Zara Store Manager, says, ‘I think I always wanted to work in fashion, I just didn't know what. So I think that's why Zara was the best place at that time for me to start’. Christie, Zara Store Section Manager, says, ‘I went from sales assistant to shoe responsible, from merchandiser to deputy, and then decided to move to London to further my career. I've had a great experience’. Glenn, Zara Store Manager, says, ‘I studied graphic design, so when I started in retail it really was just a part-time thing, but the managers around me saw that in me, and they were like “I feel you could be a good store manager,” and I was like, “alright, you know, whatever, I'll try it”’. Sandra, designer at Uterqüe, says, ‘After working, working and working, I’d never imagined I could get that far in three years, to know all I know, be where I am, and still have so much to learn’. Philip, cashier at a Zara store, says, ‘In the future? Oh man, I never really think about this kind of stuff. They do constantly try to make me learn stuff, which is... It does feel good to my heart, I do feel like I'm learning more and more. So it's like they want me to stay in the company and learn more, so I do see opportunities for myself to grow’. Miriam, stylist for Zara.com, says, ‘It was my dream to work as a stylist. I never lost sight, never stopped thinking that I must go on, keep growing, keep learning everyday. I started to work at Zara one summer, 30 hours a week in a store, and a year later, they promoted me to store manager. They called me in for an interview as a stylist, and a month later they called me and told me I'd start working here’.

What do we offer?

Opportunities to grow

Our internal talent is our greatest asset. The growth and evolution of our people is what allows us to continue growing and evolving as a company. With programmes such as Intalent and Inditex Go! we can identify the potential and interests of our teams and offer them opportunities to develop their careers with us.

Continuous learning

We never stop learning. In addition to on-the-job training, our teams are kept up to date in fashion through different e-learning and training programmes. In addition, we’ve expanded our offer through agreements with recognised companies such as Busuu for language learning. You will grow by learning.

Employee discount

We're passionate about fashion, we live it every day. Our employees receive a 25% discount on all the Inditex group’s brands to use both in physical stores and online through our sales websites.

Volunteering

Our people get involved. They can become charity ambassadors for Inditex, promoting and participating in different social projects such as Salta, Teaming and Social Energy. Together we can contribute to a better society through the company.

Open communication

We encourage everyone to contribute to their personal success and that of the company. Our organisation is horizontal with a flat hierarchal structure. We are committed to collaborative work and open communication. We are all connected through our internal app, INET.

Technology

Since our beginnings, we’ve relied on the latest available technology to improve all our processes and facilitate our employees’ work, from the manufacture and distribution of garments to customer service and business management systems. Examples of this are our e-commerce platforms, in-store iPods, RFID for stock management and logistics delivery systems.

Tips for the selection process

Show who you are

If we've invited you to an interview it's for a reason— we're interested in you. Show us who you really are, what you're passionate about and what makes you unique. Dress in your own style, express yourself in your own style, speak in your own style— just be you and everything will be fine. What do you want to know about us? And about the position? Your responsibilities? The team? Don’t be afraid to ask! This is the moment to clear up any doubts; we’ll always have an answer for you.

Show an interest in us

You don't need to know the number of stores we have or the year the company was founded, but you do need to know what we are trying to do from here. We want to know what you think of Inditex and where you think you can help us improve. Visit some of our stores and have a look at the group's e-commerce platforms— we want to hear your opinion.

What we expect from you

Well-rounded, motivated, dynamic, international, creative, energetic, clever, inventive, proactive, self-starter... Sound familiar? Perhaps you’re someone for Inditex.
