ZARA WOMENSWEAR JERSEY DESIGNER

Description

Our designers research the trends that will define and guide each season and apply all of their creativity to translate this into the various collections. For this, they are responsible for selecting the materials, colours and accessories and contributing new ideas. They create technical specifications, they coordinate with the Pattern teams for the creation of the first prototype and fitting of the clothing.

Duties

• Create and develop the various collections in collaboration with the Purchase and Commercial teams.
• Development of trend, colour, material and print panels.
• Research and establish the trends that will impact the season.
• Select the materials, the colour range and the accessories.
• Create technical specifications and coordinate with the Pattern teams for the creation of the first prototype and fitting of the clothing.
• Maintain contact with suppliers and perform monitoring.

Requirements

• Previous experience of 2 to 5 years in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Interest in the arts
• Digital portfolio with own projects (tumblr, blog, web...).
• Essential: residence in La Coruña, Spain.
• Available to travel and work full-time.
• High-level oral and written English skills.
